There are two different ways of harvesting the plant, different banana plants are harvested in different ways.
A banana plant with no stalk should be cut 3 quarters from the bottom to prevent its destruction.
If a banana plant is cut that way it reces on the chance of it being destroyed because it can't fall down it remains swinging on the remaining stem then u cut off the bunch of banana.
